Second Saturday Concert Schedule
KNOXVILLE, Tenn.—The Second Saturday Concerts at The Cove will continue this year with a wide variety of entertainment for the entire family. The free concerts, held the Second Saturday of each month, June through September, take place from 6-8 p.m. at The Cove in Concord Park, 11808 Northshore Drive.
The schedule for this summer is:
July 12 – The Dirty Guv’nahs, southern rock, voted MetroPulse’s Best Band 2008;
August 9 – The 572nd Air Force Band, patriotic and big band music; and
September 13 – The Retroholics, classic 80’s rock and pop.
The Cove features several other summertime amenities, including a beach, playground, sand volleyball court, walking trail and fishing areas. RiverSports also rents canoes and kayaks on site.
Prior to each Second Saturday concert, local Girl Scout troops will coordinate craft activities for children beginning at 5 p.m. These activities are also free. In addition, vendors will be on site with food and drinks for sale.
